THE QUALITY CHALLENGE

When a working feature is not enough

A screen can look correct while permissions, calculations, integrations, or saved data behave incorrectly. Functional testing connects requirements to realistic user journeys, including invalid inputs and failure paths. It is especially useful before a launch, after a major change, or when regression testing is becoming difficult to maintain.

How the work takes shape

01

Understand the product

Review requirements, user roles, acceptance criteria, and critical workflows. Identify ambiguous behavior before it becomes an expensive defect.

02

Design risk-based coverage

Prioritize business-critical scenarios. Include positive, negative, boundary, integration, and data-validation checks.

03

Execute and investigate

Run agreed checks in representative environments. Report reproducible defects with expected and actual behavior, supporting evidence, and business impact.

04

Retest and assess readiness

Verify fixes, run focused regression, and explain what was tested, what remains untested, and which risks are still open.

CLEAR OUTPUTS

What your team receives

Confirm the deliverables and level of detail in your project scope.

  • A scoped test plan and prioritized test scenarios
  • A coverage summary tied to agreed requirements
  • Defect reports with reproduction steps and evidence
  • A regression and release-readiness summary

Questions before you start

How is functional testing different from regression testing?

Functional testing checks whether behavior matches requirements. Regression testing repeats relevant checks after a change to look for unintended effects on existing behavior. An engagement can include both.

Can you test an application without complete documentation?

We can discuss an exploratory approach using product walkthroughs and agreed user journeys. Missing requirements and assumptions should be documented so the team can distinguish defects from unclear expectations.
